Thanks to a rainy afternoon, Luke, my husband, and I went to the movies and saw Ice Age 3 in 3D. In the movie, Manny and Ellie are expecting their first baby. Since "baby makes 3" often makes childless friends feel unwelcome, Diego decides to go off on his own and Sid adopts 3 eggs he finds after falling into a ravine. When Manny tells Sid to return the eggs to where he found them, we find that there is a land "down under". Through the ravine is a land of dinosaurs and when Sid's eggs hatch, well, they aren't baby sloths. Sid, of course, needs rescuing! Diego returns and he, Manny, Ellie and the rest of the gang go off to rescue Sid. They are assisted by a hilarious weasel with an Australian accent whom they meet when they enter the land of the dinosaurs. The weasel knows the ins and outs of the land down under and guides his new-found friends to Sid--battling dinosaurs all the way. You'll find yourself liking T-Rex's by the end of the show.
The movie made my husband and I laugh out loud and the action moved quickly. I know a movie is moving too slowly for kids if Luke starts asking when we can go home (he did that in the movie UP). There was no bad language, either (phew!). It was definitely a movie I was happy to take Luke to; we all had a great time!

You've been busy! I love the girls' geocaching tshirts. Tyler wants to see this movie - I'll have to see if/when it's playing near us.

Cool. I guess I will put that on the list to take the girls :) It's always nice to have a cool afternoon indoors when we are having a huge heat wave.
